Awana registration is August 16 5:30-7:00 pm in the Dining Hall and Awana will begin August 23 at CaryFBC!
Awana is a ministry that is all about fun with a purpose-to win and grow kids for Christ! Children ages 3 (children must be 3 years old by 8/31/2015) through 5th grade are encouraged to attend. Each week features a different theme and children are involved in scripture memorization, council time and a 20 minute game time in the gym. The Awana Store is open throughout the year to give kids the chance to spend their hard-earned Awana dollars.
Awana is open to any child in the community. We meet on Sundays from 5:30 pm-7:00 pm from late August through June.
Game Time: Clubbers play games on the unique AWANA Game Square in our Family LIfe Center.
Handbook Time: Kids work through age-appropriate handbooks memorizing Bible verses and doing activities ranging from patriotism to community service. They earn awards based on their work.
Council Time: Consists of singing, Bible stories and lessons based on Christian principles.
Cubbies is a preschool club for the two years preceding kindergarten (children must have turned 3 by August 31, 2014).
Sparks is a club for kindergarten through 2nd grade.
T&T (Truth and Training) is a club for 3rd through 5th grade.
Awana Theme Nights – Each week, Awana Club features a different theme. Clubbers are encouraged to join in and earn points towards the Awana Store for their participation. Themes such as Crazy Hair Night and Pie the Commander are favorites among Clubbers. For more information about the current week’s Awana theme night, upcoming events and news go to the Awana News page.

If you are interested in volunteering to serve God and this community’s children through the Awana Ministry at FBC Cary, please fill in the online FBC Awana Leader Registration Form and you will be contacted by Awana Commander, Meredith Taylor. You will have fun, be a blessing to the kids and fellow leaders, and be blessed yourself through your involvement! No experience required to be a listener! You can volunteer to come in each week, every other week or once a month to listen to these precious children recite their Bible verses.
