What is Children’s Worship?
It is a time during the second part of each morning worship service to allow children ages 4 and up to attend a kid-friendly worship celebration. It is designed to guide each child to experience worship developmentally suitable for their level of understanding. The focus is to provide the best possible worship experience for each child.
When do children leave to attend Children’s Worship?
Children sit with their family in the regular worship service until shortly before the sermon, when a message appears on the screen stating that children are dismissed to Children’s Worship. Children and adult volunteers exit the Sanctuary on the orchestra side and then assemble in the hallway outside the gym where they will get name tags before going down to the Dining Hall for Children’s Worship.
Who participates in Children’s Worship?
This is strictly an optional activity, open to children ages 4 and up. Children in grades 3-5 develop leadership skills by signing up to help in Children’s Worship through scripture reading, special music & drama, or serving as a greeter or visitor/worship buddy. Each family, on an individual basis, decides whether or not to send their child(ren) to Children’s Worship. **Important--Like the 8:00 am service now, there will be no Extended Session offered for 4-year-olds in the 10:30 am service.
Where is Children’s Worship held?
Children’s Worship meets in front of the screen in the middle section of the Dining Hall, where parents will also meet children at the end of the regular service.

Key verse focus--3min, Bible Q&A--2min, Music--3min, MK of the week--3min, Announcements--2min, Celebration songs--4min, until parent(s) arrive
Total of 45 minutes, will be shortened during the 8:00 am service.
