The College/Career Class at First Baptist Church provides a Christian ministry for young adults ranging from recent high school graduates to young careerists. The age range varies from barely legal to “I ain’t telling”. Transitioning from high school to post-secondary school can be a difficult time for young people. Likewise, balancing the newfound independence of being a college student and or understanding the office politics and complexities involved in starting a career while assuming full financial responsibility of your expenses can leave you feeling overwhelmed. Traditional Christian family values and traditions during this life phase often get sidelined because of outside influences and temptations.

The College/Career Class provides a haven for young people to escape the pressures of school and work and be embraced in Christian fellowship with old and new friends in a variety of activities. Sunday School, worship service, and summer Bible study groups provide a time for continued learning while social and other related activities such as Sunday lunches, our weekend trip to the mountains and the Summer beach retreat help to build upon relationships and develop closer bonds of friendship.  Learn more about us by visiting us on Sunday morning. We bet, “You’ll be back”.
