The Parade of Tables is an expression of Christ’s love through the active involvement of the entire church body in raising funds to meet catastrophic needs. Individuals, Sunday School classes, and other organizations within the church decorate tables and sell tickets to the dinner provided. Table decorations range from the simple to the sublime. Other festivities include an auction and live entertainment, resulting in an evening of warm Christian fellowship and loving ministry.
The 2005 Parade of Tables was sponsored by the Benevolence Ministry, and the proceeds were used to help purchase a specially-built wheelchair for Kevin Schaefer, an eleven-year-old boy with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (who also underwent surgery to insert rods in his spine in July 2005). The net proceeds from that evening were $18,000. To God be the glory!
