The Weekday Preschool hours are 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, except for the Transition Class which releases at 12:30 pm.
The main objective of First Baptist Weekday Preschool is to provide loving and enriching experiences for your child. Through these experiences your child will grow in the areas of self-confidence, problem solving, self-control, becoming more independent and accepting responsibility. In designing and implementing our program, we use lots of “hands-on” experiences. Preschoolers learn best through firsthand experiences, social interaction, repetition, relationships, and play. During our school day each child will have the opportunity to work by himself/herself at individual tasks, play in small groups, and participate in large group activities such as music, movement, and circle time. Our music teacher provides each class with 20 minutes of music each preschool day. Every class attends chapel once a week for a Bible story taught by the director. Older 3’s and all 4 year old classes receive computer instruction every week. We provide a morning snack of juice, crackers and cookies. We do not serve lunch; however, the Transition Class brings their lunch. Each age level has a thematically based curriculum derived from the Christian Wee Learn program with age-appropriate topics for each month. These activities are complemented by special guests who come to our preschool.
