Don’t miss your opportunity to experience this weekend with us at Ridgecrest! This year’s conference is October 11-13 at the Lifeway Ridgecrest Conference Center. The speakers are Steve and Debbie Wilson, Jon Acuff, and Justin and Trisha Davis. Michael O’Brien will be leading worship during the conference sessions.  For more details, click here. 

This ministry began over four years ago.  Four couples who had a heart for marriages came together to promote, encourage, facilitate, and support biblical, Christ-centered, covenant marriages at First Baptist Church.  The Marriage Enrichment Ministry team is comprised of several people, all of whom seek to enrich not only their own marriages, but those in our church and community as well.  In addition to discipleship classes on marriage, the Marriage Enrichment Ministry endorses two annual marriage festivals.

Spring Festival of Marriage
The Marriage Enrichment Ministry team holds this festival right here at First Baptist Church.  The team organizes and recruits speakers for the event.  Past speakers have included: Dr. Danny Akin (President of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary); Harold and Betty Gillogly (founders of GTO Ministries), and Steve and Debbie Wilson (founders of Marriage Matters Now).  This spring event is provided to enable church members and the community to participate in a marriage enrichment event that is close to home.

Fall Festival of Marriage
The Marriage Enrichment Ministry Team also promotes the fall festivals held each October at Ridgecrest, located in the mountains of North Carolina.  They are a great time to get away for a weekend and concentrate on you and your spouse.  You can improve your marriage with helpful workshops on everything from time management to finances to sexuality and intimacy.  The key note speakers are nationally known and worship is led by one of the top Christian singers and songwriters in our country.  It’s a time you won’t want to miss!
