Estimated Time-line of the Pastor Search Committee:
It takes a church an average of 18-24 months to find a Pastor (from “The Search” by William Vanderbloemen). It is our goal to complete the search as quickly and as accurately as God’s plan allows. Creating an estimate for milestone completion is important in this process. Below is a list of key milestones and time-frame estimates for the first couple of months. This time-line will be updated in the future.

August:

  • Determine roles of committee members
  • Work on a web page for communications to the church body
  • Work on a survey for the church body
  • Determine budget needs for the Committee to function

September:

  • Implement web site for communications to the church body
  • Begin formally advertising the pastor opening
  • Administer survey to church body
  • Analyze results of survey

October and beyond (time frame to be determined):

  • Analyzing survey results
  • Receiving and reviewing resumes
