The Weekday Preschool hours are 9:15 am-12:15 pm, except for the Transition Class that dismisses at 1:00 pm.  The main objective of First Baptist Weekday Preschool is to provide loving and enriching experiences for your child.  Through these experiences, your child will grow in the areas of self-confidence, problem-solving, self-control, and becoming more independent and accepting responsibility.  In designing and implementing our program, we use lots of “hands-on” experiences.  Preschoolers learn best through firsthand experiences, social interaction, repetition, relationships, and play.During our school day, each child will have the opportunity to work by himself/herself at individual tasks, play in small groups, and participate in large group activities such as music, movement, and circle time.  Our music teacher provides each class with 20 minutes of music each preschool day.  All classes except 2s attend chapel once a week for a Bible story taught by the director.  All 4-year-old classes receive computer instruction at least once a month while the Transition class has a computer in the classroom.  We provide a morning snack of water, crackers, and cookies.  We do not serve lunch; however, the Transition Class brings their lunch daily.  LunchBunch is available twice a week for an extra fee of $6.  Lunchbunch lasts until 1:15 pm.For those students that need to arrive early, we offer a Before Care Program that begins at 8:30 am. The fee is $5 per day if utilized on a monthly basis and prepaid. The fee is $8 if used as needed but the student is signed up in advance and prepaid. Day of emergency use is $10.Each age level has a thematically based curriculum derived from the Lifeway’s Wee Learn program with age-appropriate topics for each month.  These activities are complemented by special guests who come to our preschool.Directions to our preschool
